High Bridge Pilates Teacher Training program is a springboard into your future career as a Pilates instructor. Our comprehensive course provide students with the skills and understanding they need to become accomplished, inspirational teachers.

MAT PILATES INSTRUCTOR TEACHER TRAINING

There are times when the fully comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program with equipment is not suitable - whether it’s due to time commitments, level of experience, or interest.  High Bridge Pilates offers an exceptional opportunity to become a qualified, knowledgeable, and successful Instructor for the mat portion of Pilates practice.

Mat Pilates Instructor Teacher Training is a 4-week program that leverages the introduction to full Pilates Teacher Training to provide an outstanding opportunity to train under master Pilates instructors.

Mat Pilates Training students receive the highest level of education that empowers them to gain the unique skills of a mat-based program and take this forward to improve their Pilates and teaching skills.

COMPREHENSIVE PILATES TEACHER TRAINING AND PILATES INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION
Our Pilates Teacher Training Program encompasses 450 hours of instruction, as per the Pilates Method Alliance standards.

Within classroom hours, you can expect to receive a multi-sensory, creative learning experience, careful and individual attention, professional support, and hands-on Pilates training.

Our Pilates Teacher Training Program is suitable for all levels of experience. Programs not only include personal training and attention, but also insight, professionalism, and resources to help you find employment quickly upon successful completion.

Program Details

  • 16 week training period

  • Meet on the specified dates with the studio open during 'open gym' hours for personal practice and practice teaching hours

  • Injury prevention and recovery

  • Adaptive training skills for special populations

  • Proper stretching techniques including assisted or hands-on stretching

  • Theory and principles of functional anatomy and biomechanics

  • Apparatus and varied equipment integration 

  • Attitude, confidence and composure of a professional Pilates instructor, Pilates studio safety.

  • Learn to develop intuition with each client. Going beyond the technical, and into the heart and soul of the work

Course Study

  • Skills of injury prevention and recovery

  • Adaptive training skills for special populations

  • Proper stretching techniques, including assisted and hands-on stretching

  • Basic theory and principles of functional anatomy and biomechanics

  • Varied equipment integration including foam rollers, Swiss balls, and mini balls

Course of Study

  • Pre-Beginner / Beginner: Pilates Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector, and Step Barrel.

  • Intermediate: Pilates Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector, and Step Barrel.

  • Advanced: Pilates Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector, and Step Barrel.

Course Prerequisites

  • Previous exposure to fitness, Pilates, or Yoga

  • Entrance interview with studio owners

  • 10 Pilates private studio sessions.  This is not included in the price of the program, but it is offered at a discounted professional rate

The course can be completed in seven months with a full-time commitment, although you may take up to one year to complete your hours.

COURSE FEE INCLUDES

One photographic comprehensive training manual pertaining to each module registered and paid for, in-studio lecture/training with Speir Pilates Master Teacher Trainer, in-studio training with Speir Pilates specialty trainer in Functional Anatomy, use of studios for self practice, practice teaching, apprentice teaching sessions, observation, and one assessment-based diploma upon successful completion and graduation of the program and all necessary test-outs required.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

Payment must be made in full to complete registration for the program, and/or workshops to hold and secure one's spot. Student is entitled to full tuition refund upon withdrawal/termination up to 30 calendar days before the start of the program. If withdrawal of the program happens within 30 calendar days of the start date of the program, there is no refund of tuition. The official date of termination/cancellation of a student will be determined in the following manner: The date on which High Bridge Pilates receives written notice of the student's intention to discontinue the training program. Tuition fees are non-transferrable.  If any training time is missed within the program it is the students responsibility to complete any missed work and schedule private lecture hours to recover missed lectures.
