Yoga
The word yoga means "union" in Sanskrit, the language of ancient
India where yoga originated around 5,000 years ago. We can think of the
union occurring
between the mind, body and spirit.
What is commonly referred to as "yoga" can be more accurately
described by the Sanskrit word “asana”, which refers to the
practice of physical postures or poses. A concentrated focus on
breathing or "pranayama" is fused with the poses, to connect the mind
and body.
While stretching is certainly involved in yoga, the practice is
really about creating balance in the body and mind through developing
both strength and flexibility. There are several types of yoga
offered at the studio, which offer the following benefits. Visit

a good match for your medical and fitness background.
