Mat Pilates Classes
Beginner Pilates
Learn the principles and physical alignment of mat pilates
exercises. A great refesher for students who haven't attended in
a while or the perfect way for someone to start a practice. The pace of
the class is a bit slower than a typical mat class, affording students
the chance to build strength and endurance.
Mixed Level Pilates
A traditional mat class consisting of a variety of exercises to
produce core strength, postural alignment and
toning benefits. Modifications offered so that all levels will
benefit from the class - beginner and intermediate - students
are
encouraged to listen to their bodies to see what modification is
appropriate. Props may be used to provide a
further challenge. Students who have never taken a Pilates class
are strongly encouraged to schedule 2-3 private sessions with Nancy to
learn the basic principles before attending a class. Wear form-fitting clothing
that moves easily and we practice barefoot.
Pilates & Props
At least one or two props are utilized during the class, making for a challenging and stimulating workout. Props include the BOSU, Foam Roller, Magic Circle, small ball, Stability Ball and Therabands. Recommended for advanced beginner, intermediate and advanced level students.
Tai Chi Classes
Tai ChiThis Taoist Yoga is an ancient system of exercise, meditation and martial art that unites the mind, body and spirit. A lo-impact workout that does not place stress on the joints. Benefits include: improved balance, coordination, flexibility and posture. Cultivate health while warding off stress and illness. Discover a practical inner philosophy for moving with changes in life. No special clothing or equipment needed.
Yoga Classes
Beginner Yoga
Start your yoga practice learning breathing patterns and how to enjoy a yoga class at every fitness level. A welcoming environment to learn body awareness and to explore poses within your own comfort level. A great class for seniors. Feel centered!
Chakra Yoga
Explore poses associated with each chakra or energy center of the body, starting with the base root chakra and working up to the crown chakra. A brief reading about each chakra will be shared at the start of each class. Chakras run along the inside of the spine and receive, assimilate and express our life force energy, which is usually conceptualized as a specific color. Awaken or unblock your energy centers with the poses. Feel energized!
CoreYoga
A multi-level class that utilizes yoga poses to tone the abdominal muscles and strengthen the lower back muscles. Also improves spinal alignment and posture, while releasing tension and toxins from the center of the body. Feel strengthened and toned!
Fundamentals of Yoga
Learn the fundamentals of yoga poses, including proper alignment and breathing. Beginners welcome too. A practice based on Anusura-inspired yoga, a more vigorous form of yoga of holding poses for several breaths. Lots of hands-on instruction in this class. Feel alive!
Flow Yoga (Vinyasa Yoga)
Vinyasa Flow: a
flowing of one pose into the next using movement; a dance of sorts as
you utilize cardiovascular fitness to transition to the next pose. Feel open!
We offer 3 different types of Flow Yoga classes to choose from, based
on your fitness level:
Slow Flow - a
slower-paced class to identify and release any stress in the body
Moderate Flow - more
vigorous pace allows students to experience the energy of flow

Good Morning Yoga
Start your day with a series of stretching poses to awaken the mind and body. Balancing poses will be used to assist the student with balance off the mat. Use the physical practice to energize your mind for the day. Feel awakened!
Mixed Level Yoga
A class to work on developing strength, flexiblity and
stamina. Modifications offered for beginner / intermediate level
students. A variety of poses used to connect the mind and body
with the breath. Feel
revitalized!
Yang-Yin Yoga
The practice begins with Yang yoga, an active and dynamic flow of poses designed to invigorate and heat the body. The Yin portion follows consisting of long-held, passive poses to encourage flexibility and chi (energy) flow, as well as engendering a more contemplative, non-reactive state of mind. Feel balanced!
Yoga for Everyone
A beginner / advanced beginner class offering stretching, balancing poses and a gentle sun salutation series. Modifications are offered to increase or decrease the intensity of the poses. Great for anyone looking to work on flexibility and stiffness issues. Feel relaxed!
